About Us

Founders Ritchie and Cheryl Cook are well aware of the heartbreak caused by addictions that ultimately lead to incarceration. Six years ago our dream to create a place in which we could make a difference in the lives of others who have been impacted by addiction became a reality.

This place became a ministry known as The Rock Found.  Our mission is to prove that the adage "no one is disposable" is compatible with promoting community safety and "no more victims". We are committed to second chances providing hope, healing, support and accountability to individuals on parole reducing over-all recidivism rates.

The Rock Found is a faith-based nonprofit 501(c)3  which serves as a community partner with The Latino Coalition for Community Leadership.  The LCCL is  able to fund community partners for the Work and Gain Education and Employment Skills (WAGEES), a new community re-entry program created by the Colorado General Assembly as part of House Bill 14-13555 and expanded through SB-15-124.  We provide a coordinated delivery of services to parolees who are at high or medium risk for recidivism.  Services include a incentive based program that assists individuals with achieving a GED or industry recognized credentials and increasing the rate at which participants enter post secondary education and training as well job skills training, employment, transportation, and housing. Each participant has a case manager who assists in developing an Individual Service Plan complete with goals. New goals are added as goals are accomplished. Individuals who present unique challenges will be given a more involved case plan.

Weekly groups include pro-social activities and Moral Reconation Therapy; (MRT) which is described as --”a systematic, cognitive, behavioral step- by -step treatment strategy designed to enhance self-image, promote growth of a positive, productive identity, and facilitate the development of higher stages of moral reasoning.”

The Rock Found is also a Colorado Circles of Support and Accountability site for the Weld County region.  These circles support, monitor and assist individuals who have been convicted of a sexual offense to help them lead  productive lives in the community.  We continue to be advocates in the area of Restorative Justice for all.

In addition to the funding and donations received by the Rock Found, we also operate two small businesses, Raised in a Barn which produces beautifully handcrafted barn wood furniture from 100 year old barns “raised” in Colorado and CSK’s Grill a mobile kitchen which features homemade smoked barbecue brisket serving food at most local events in Greeley as well as catering. Both of these businesses provide employment and on the job training to help participants excel and advance their careers.

Recently, we have started Kingdom Refuge where we can focus on spiritual growth and wholeness.  Check out "Our Blog" which give you the latest news on the happenings at The Rock Found!
